Quantify Impurities in Argon
The GOW-MAC Series AR710 HFAD Gas Analyzer with High Frequency Argon Discharge Ionization Detector (HFADD) is designed to test argon for impurities down to the ppb range. The analyzer is offered as a turnkey system and is supplied with documentation for the analysis of impurities in argon, i.e., H2, N2, O2, CH4, CO and CO2.
The gas is introduced to the analyzer and subjected to an electromagnetic field, which causes it to resonate. The resulting luminance is monitored by a light dependent resistor (LDR). As the sample component enters the detector the light intensity is altered. The output from the LDR is converted to a mV signal and is measured and reported via software. The signal is charted by the supplied software and is proportional to the concentration of each component in the sample. Sensitivities down to 20 ppb can be measured.
The Series AR710 HFAD is available with several options, such as 4 – 20 mA output, auto zero, and either bench mount or 19” rack mount for easy installation in any panel.
