MARBACH. On August 24, 2007 ground was broken for the new HAINBUCH Technology and Training Center on Hardtstrasse in Marbach – near the present corporate headquarters. Now, 34 weeks later, the workholding device manufacturer held the topping out ceremony. The presence of the mayor and municipal council was an indication of how important this professional building is for the city of Marbach as well.
Investment in the location
The site was formerly a sheep meadow; by the end of the year it will be a center of activity where technically gifted people will not only move HAINBUCH forward with their power of innovation, they will also move the city of Marbach forward. At the topping out ceremony for the HANBUCH Technology and Training Center held at the beginning of May, Marbach Mayor Herbert Pötzsch also praised the commitment of the region’s largest employer and welcomed the clear »yes« to Germany as a business location. »Completion of the interior will still take a fairly long time«, explained HAINBUCH CEO Gerhard Rall, »the building will house a lot of innovative technology. However we also want to create an ideal environment for all the ideas that are already in the pipeline.« By the end of the year, on approximately 4000 square meters, there will be room enough for these ideas to unfold. Three floors in the new, glass-dominated Technology Center will primarily be devoted to office space; the third floor is reserved for customer presentations. In the future in addition to the manufacturing and development departments that will work on design, planning, and procurement of new concepts and products in the new Technology Center, HAINBUCH will also offer training, instruction and continuing education in the facility. In this regard there is an auditorium that can accommodate approximately 70 people with a spacious, adjacent lounge, and to unwind there is a roof terrace at an open height of 25 meters. It is natural to be excited about how the »epicenter of innovative activity«, as Rall calls it, will develop in the future. The fact is: Qualified employees are always welcome at HAINBUCH, currently there is an acute shortage of skilled CNC workers, technical consultants in field sales and internal sales, as well as designers. The internationally active company with three production locations in Germany offers good opportunities for starting a career and good opportunities for development, and with »kick« , which started this year, HAINBUCH has launched an exemplary module-based continuing education program. Currently approximately 320 employees work at the Marbach location.
