The positioning systems PSE 211/212-9 are intelligent compact solutions for the automatic alignment of auxiliary and adjustment axes, consisting of a DC motor, drive system, controller, measuring system and a data bus connection. The fully integrated electronic controls support central machine controls. External power modules, proximity and limit switches, pulse generators or absolute encoders are not required. Due to its affordable DC motor, the positioning system models PSE 211 and PSE 212 can now be implemented for automation tasks, which could previously not be realised for economic reasons. As with all halstrup-walcher positioning systems, the control and power modules are powered separately. Addressing occurs via bus or optionally by way of mechanical switches. A baud rate selector is also optionally available, with which the baud rate can be set manually. Unique to the PSE 211/212-8 is the variable connection line positioning. By turning the lid 90° at a time, three separate cable connection positions are available. This new feature allows the user to adapt to individual installation situations.
