Special damping components bring unique functionality to LHDV

HAWE Hydraulics, a leading supplier of sophisticated controls to the mobile and industrial markets, offers its LHDV load holding valves. These pressure valves feature elaborate damping components, which makes them particularly well-suited for use with "load sensing" spool valves, such as those found in the HAWE PSL/PSV valve series.

HAWE's load holding valves always act on the return flow side of double-acting consumers. The LHDV blocks the return duct according to their set pressure (setting approximately 15 percent above the maximum load pressure), generating a counter force to the pushing (negative) load.

Therefore, the pump acts to feed the inflow side, pressurizing the cylinder enough to overcome the set pressure of the load holding valve and, thereby, drop the load.

The LHDV is available with a number of options, including shock valves and shuttle valves with or without a bypass check valve (e.g., delayed release of hydraulic brakes).
