Crankshaft testing system Hegewald & Peschke MPT GmbH
It is possible to measure all cylindrical areas (low ends, pivots) that are aligned parallel to the axis of rotation. The measurement is done vertical to the axis of rotation at any hook angle.
The system can test crankshafts with a max length of 1500 mm and a maximum diameter of 50 mm. The crankshafts are pivotably clamped, which allows for tests along the entire diameters of the crankshaft. The Rockwell penetrator is installed on a mechanic sliding unit. Due to this construction, the entire length of the crankshaft can be tested without the need to remove the crankshaft from its clamp.
The test is fully-automatic. This allows for approximately 30 crankshaft tests per hour. The test data are transmitted automatically to the quality assurance system of the customer.
