* New die carts and transport trolleys for carrying consoles

Andreas Reich, head of the die clamping technology division rated the Fakuma Trade Fair as a great success for the ROEMHELD Group. "We had many good new contacts and lively interest in project business, and we succeeded in securing orders for 19 magnetic clamping systems in the high 6-digit EURO range.╙ From his point of view, the Fakuma fair continues to be as successful as it was pre-crisis. At the Hilma and ROEMHELD display, visitors were able to see quick set-up and changing technology for workpieces and dies, a broad range of magnetic clamping plates and a new product line of oil-free electric clamping elements. Andreas Reich said, "being able to choose between mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and magnetic clamping technology is a significant plus for our customers."

New "RH 400" die change cart and transport trolley for carrying consoles

The new "RH 400" die change cart, which was exhibited together with other components to demonstrate quick set-up, was of particular interest to the visitors. The robust structure, which has a parking brake and is operated using a single-lever foot, is supported by a stable chassis designed for die weights of up to 500 kg. Its platform is fitted with sixty ball inserts which are lifted mechanically after the successful coupling of the trolley to the machine bed, thus allowing the die to be easily moved.

Orders for magnetic clamping plates for use in Austria and Greece booked at the trade fair

Hilma's success at the Fakuma Trade Fair was rounded off by orders received from Hirschmann Automotive GmbH, Rankweil of Austria and Palaplast S.A. of Greece for a total of 19 magnetic clamping plates. The automotive supplier Hirschmann will use the magnetic clamping plates, which have closing forces of between 50 and 150 tons, on new Arburg injection moulding machines. Some 100 magnetic clamping systems are already in use in the company.

The Greek company Palaplast produces plastic components for irrigation systems and sells them in more than 100 countries, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Arabian regions. Up until now, the company has been using 14 magnetic clamping systems; the eight systems ordered at the trade fair are intended for use on injection moulding machines and have closing forces of between 100 and 300 tons. All magnetic clamping plates are produced individually to suit each machine's specifications.
