Basic Switch Designed for Enhanced Reliability
in Low Cost of Failure Applications
Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today introduced its V-Basic Standard electromechanical switch (V15 series) to complement the existing V-Basics Premium switch line that includes its popular V7 and V5 series switches. Available with a variety of suppliers of actuators, electrical loads and special terminations, the Standard series is designed for “low cost of failure” operations, where the cost to replace a failed switch is minimal.
In situations where the cost of failure is low, such as joysticks for gaming systems or door interlocks, the V-Basic Standard switch offers enhanced reliability at great value. Potential applications may include appliances, vending machines, gaming, industrial controls and HVAC.
The V-Basic Standard series enhances precision operation for applications requiring 100g or more of operating force and electrical ratings from 16A to 22A. The Standard series is designed to withstand 50,000 electrical operations at full load or 5 million mechanical cycles for the life of the switch. Its design flexibility increases application compatibility. The V-Basic Standard series accept insulated connection and all popular quick connect receptacles.
