The FIREBOY Bunsen Industrial burner from INTEGRA Biosciences is proven to ensure highest application safety by eliminating the risk of gas leaking and explosion inherent in using traditional Bunsen burners.

Looking to update gas use in line with new local safety regulations the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute, Federal Research Institute for Animal Health in Insel Reims, Germany sought a versatile, high safety alternative to traditional Bunsen burners linked into their site gas distribution system. As well as being safety certified to work with the existing site gas distribution system in line with the new regulations, the alternative should also offer the flexibility to be used in laboratories in parts of the building not served by the gas supply.

Because of new regulations FLI was faced with having to replace its whole gas distribution system which would have incurred considerable expense. Having positive experience of using FIREBOY’s in parts of the building not served by the site gas supply the Institute chose to substitute all our traditional Bunsen burners with 70 new FIREBOY units.
