Flush or short
The cylinder sensor is suited for small parallel grippers and short-stroke cylinders with C-slot. Due to the height of only 5 mm it can be flush-mounted in the most common C-slots from above and is largely protected against damage. A 17.5 mm short version is available for miniature gripping systems. The sensor is inserted into the slot where it is held in position by a clamping mechanism. The moulded cable at the end of the cylinder sensor provides excellent strain relief.
Long life
Non-contact detection virtually work without wear and often achieve a longer life than Reed switches. This saves expensive repair and downtimes.
