The PI 6000 is a fast, autarkic and programmable PID controller for the use with a digital IMPAC pyrometer. The temperature detection with a pyrometer guarantees the fast logging of the actual temperature values. The PI 6000 processes these data with the extremely fast sampling time of only 250 µs. This makes possible the use of this instruments also for applications where a fast temperature detection and control is needed, such as induction hardening processes.

The instrument can execute a maximum of 9 regulation programs. With them nominal temperatures can sequentially be achieved via time or temperature control. Consequently even complex applications can be solved quickly. The regulation programs can easily be compiled via a PC and the software InfraWin which is included in the scope of delivery.

Each stored regulation program can be selected, started, stopped or paused via built in keys, while an inadvertend adjustment of the parameters is not possible.
The display of the PI 6000 shows the selected program, the current measuring temperature as well as the activity of the controller output. Additional LEDs above the instruments keys indicate the program status.

Moreover the software InfraWin offers the opportunity of analysis and monitoring of the active control process.
