The temperature switches KTS 218 and KTG 218 from IMPAC Infrared recognize hot objects in their measuring beam to trigger a switch process. They can e.g. be used for recognition, counting or determination of the position of hot objects.
The desired switching level can be adjusted at the instrument and the switch status is indicated with a LED at the backside of the instrument.

The switches KTS 218 and KTG 218 detect different temperatures. The KTS 218 covers a temperature range from 700 to 1500°C whereas the KTG 218 is designed to detect temperatures between 400 and 1400°C. Due to their fast switch time of only 600 µs the instruments ideally suit for very fast processes. For an optimal adaptation to the particular measuring task 10 different optics with spot sizes from 2.5 mm are available. This also makes possible the detection of small objects.
The integrated LED targeting light indicates the middle of the spot and can be used for an exact alignment of the instruments.

The connecting cables can easily be connected and disconnected from the instruments so that a comfortable and flexible installation or cable change is guaranteed. Moreover miscellaneous accessories such as mounting supports, cooling jackets, air purge units or 90° mirrors are available for these small and well-priced temperature switches of Series 218.
