Control panels can be divided into four basic elements: base carrier or carrier plate/casing, central data input unit, additional data input unit and data output unit. With these four elements, various versions can be developed which are always oriented towards the demands made by the operational environment.
As component carriers, various materials can be used. In the majority of cases, aluminium is used. Further possible options are carbon or plastic. The carriers can be integrated into the system in various ways. In the complete product range, InduKey offers central input units. Stainless steel keyboards, silicone keyboards, membrane-keyboards, long-stroke keyboards, or capacitive sensors are the basic technologies. Additional operating elements or functional components, such as illuminated displays, emergency stop switches, track balls, touch pads or joysticks complement the main input unit.
As output units, monitors of varying inch sizes are used. Premounted touch screens working with various technologies (capacitive, resistive, acoustic) provide for an easy operation of the monitor - the menu is realised by means of the software.
