New Joystick Module for Professional Cursor Control

New Joystick Module for Professional Cursor Control

From now on InduKey Keyboard Production GmbH & Co.KG offers a joystick module for industrial front installation. The stand-alone mouse pointer device completes the TKH series by InduKey. It now comprises not only versions with touchpad and 38 mm track ball but also this alternative cursor control via joystick. The new module, which is available under the name TKH-JSTb module, ensures a sensitive cursor movement due to use of the entire hand. This allows, among other things, an operation of lifting devices synchronously to movements.

The new TKH-JSTb module consists of a compact, foil covered aluminium front plate with threaded bolts on the rear side. As a result it has the industrial protection class IP 65; which means that the device is completely protected against infiltration of dust or splash water. A shortened 65.4 mm high cursor stick, which generally possesses 2 axes, is integrated into the front panel. The maximum deflexion is 18 degree to each side. The joystick operates in a potentiometric way realising cursor movements analogical to actuation. Thanks to this technology a precise navigation is possible even with gloves. Equally foil covered mouse buttons complete the range of operating characteristics.

Due to the threaded bolts on the rear side of the InduKey TKH devices, these can be integrated into technical systems in a flexible and comfortable way. A corresponding gasket is included in the scope of delivery. A USB interface is provided as a standard. A customer-specific adjustment of the device is possible on request, even for small numbers of pieces.

All three TKH modules (trackball, touchpad and joystick) by InduKey may be combined perfectly with the ultra flat, versatile and compact keyboards of the TKF series. The models of the TKH series are ideally suited for the use in mechanical engineering, medical engineering, and automation or even for the control of monitoring systems.
