The brazing process of stainless steel may not be so easy to apply. During the heating process we have to avoid the oxidation of the metal surface because it stops the wetting process of stainless steel and not permit the brazing to be successful.
When brazing stainless steel in normal atmosphere, we suggest to use induction process. Italbras is supplying brazing alloys and flux dedicated for the induction brazing of stainless steel. It also possible to use torch brazing with a special brazing flux supplied by Italbras.
Brazing of stainless steel is also possible in furnace with protective atmosphere. Italbras is supplying copper based and nickel based paste for this application. Copper based paste are the usually the cheaper ones, nickel based pastes are perfectly resistant to corrosion.
