New regulation Reach 494 started on 10 th December 2011. Italbras has already dismissed the production of cadmium-containing brazing alloys and it is offering cadmium-free brazing alloys according to Reach 494. Italbras is manufacturing brazing alloys with cadmium content less than 0,01% in agreement with Reach 494. Such a limit is extremely low and Italbras can stay below it thanks to the control of the production process and the inspection of raw materials. Italbras is preparing for each delivery the certificate of analysis composition demonstrating that the limit of cadmium is in line with regulation Reach 494. We invite all customers still using cadmium-containing brazing alloys to contact Italbras and ask for support in order to start using cadmium-free brazing alloys.
