The manufacturing of contacts for switching devices requires high-precision and high-quality machinery. The rotary transfer machine of itus-Industrietechnik und Sondereinrichtungen-GmbH allows a precise and cost-effective handling of this task. The housing is made of various components of the MB Building Kit System of item Industrietechnik GmbH.

The process: Every 4.5 seconds, the machine operator hand feeds a raw part at an exactly defined place of the rotary transfer unit. Afterwards, the workpiece is conveyed to the respective operations within the machine. Before it reaches a welding station, the silver contact material from a coil is cut into platelets of identical lengths by a cutter during a secondary operation. The raw part is then welded in the welding station. During a next step, the position of the silver platelet is optically and mechanically checked. This allows to check if it as been correctly welded and if it is a the right place. When the workpiece is flawless, it is bent during a next step and then led out of the unit.

To ensure the fulfilment of the customer's quality requirements, not only the basic frame is made of different components such as Profile Lines 5, 6 and 8 of the item MB Building Kit System, but also the protective enclosure ensuring a safe work flow. The whole work process can be controlled over a touch screen.
