More power and 230-V-connection: New series of compact servo drives ECOMPACT Jenaer Antriebstechnik

Jenaer Antriebstechnik’s new ECOMPACT® 34E is equipped with a high-pole ECOSTEP® servo motor with 86 mm flange. The compact servo drive is initially available with three motor versions with peak torques of up to 10 Nm. Rated torques are between 2 Nm and 3.5 Nm.

The ECOMPACT® 34E is operated with a connection voltage of 230 VAC and is equipped with a high-resolution incremental encoder (80,000 inc/rev) or with an absolute value encoder, respectively. The integrated servo amplifier supports the digital torque, velocity and position control.

Interface for control, parameter setting and diagnosis is CANopen® . Further bus interfaces are under preparation.

Advantages of the compact servo drives are among others the significantly reduced space requirements in the cabinet (because no separate servo amplifier is required), and the lower cabling effort. For smaller control tasks the drive-integrated sequence programming can be used. Thus, depending on the application a higher-level controller can be omitted.
