Jetter happy with its appearance at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2011 exhibition Jetter
Visitors were shown a complex application of JetWeb technology on a big screen at regular intervals at the Jetter exhibition booth. A video showed a machine as it created hollow glass. This machine contains up to 140 servo drives coordinated via Ethernet TCP/IP and it produces more than 700 glass bottles per minute right round the clock. This application provided an impressive demonstration of the robustness and reliability of JetWeb technology. Viewers commented on the complexity of the glass-bottle manufacturing process and viewed the JetWeb technology as "highly impressive". There were also new products presented to the visitors in the area of industrial as well as mobile automation. Here are some prominent examples: The compact JV-1004 graphic display is an attractive alternative to text displays. It is highly compact with external dimensions of 147 x 107 x 52 mm and with a control panel fitted with a resistive 4.3" color TFT touchscreen with LED technology. It has been designed mainly for smaller cost-sensitive applications in industrial automation. It will be available in larger quantities from early 2012. In the area of mobile automation Jetter AG presented its new drive technology to the wider public for the first time. In mobile applications the requirements for electrical drives are particularly stringent. The devices must withstand major temperature fluctuations, be extremely leak-tight, operate at temperatures between -40 and +85 degrees Celsius and be resistant to impacts and vibrations. At the same time, however, they must be compact, since space is often limited. The inverter presented as prototype JMM-5000 enables both asynchronous and synchronous motors to be operated either with a feedback unit or without sensors. In addition to the matching motors, Jetter also offers a range of accessories such as gear units, cables, connectors and cooling systems. Electrical drive technology is ideally suited to use in mobile automation with conveyor belts, fans, blowers and worm shafts, or as a replacement for hydraulics. The drive system is expected to be ready for production in fall 2012.
