JS Humidifiers is launching the new JetSpray HP, a high pressure spray humidifier. The JetSpray HP is a low energy in-duct humidifier that runs on 135 times less energy than standard electric steam humidifiers and 15 times less energy than compressed air and water spray systems.

As well as providing a low energy humidification solution, the JetSpray HP provides evaporative cooling of up to 12oC. It can be used to cool and humidify supply air as well as being combined with a heat recovery system to cool exhaust air. The heat recovery system returns the cool thermal energy from the humidified exhaust air to the incoming supply air, thus pre-cooling it and reducing the load on chillers.

The JetSpray HP comprises of a number of stainless steel nozzles mounted in a molded plastic turbulator bank. Water is supplied to the nozzles at between 15-70bar producing a very fine mist as it is released under pressure. The nozzles in the turbulator bank are positioned inside the duct facing a fibrous droplet separator 90cm downstream. The turbulator bank has aerodynamic shaped fins which spin the air as it passes through. As the spray is released, it is spun by the air passing through the turbulators, thus increasing the distance it travels before meeting the droplet separator.

Any moisture that is not fully evaporated into the air by the time it reaches the droplet separator runs down its fibrous surface and is evaporated by the air passing through it.

The JetSpray HP is capable of high outputs up to 780L/hr while operating on just 0.55kW and providing close humidity control to ±2%rH. It is simple to install and easy to maintain. Hygienic operation is assured with pre-programmed flush and drain cycles ensuring no water can remain in the pipework to stagnate. As a further hygiene precaution the water entering the system is treated with a PureFlo Ag+ silver ion dosing filter. Silver is a very effective anti-microbial agent and has a residual effect throughout the pipework and droplet separator. These features combed to gain the JetSpray HP European VDI6022 Approval for hygiene.

The humidifier features a digital control panel with a backlit display showing operational status, humidity set point, ambient humidity, purge and flush cycle operations, alarm status, hours run, service interval times and fault diagnostics.
