Countdown to innovative coding technology

For FachPack 2009, Nuremberg, KBA-Metronic AG launches world exclusive marking and coding technologies
in Hall 3, stand 207 and also within the special exhibitor area for “Cost Savings and Sustainability in Packaging” in Hall 4 stand 229.

NEW: the alphaJET evo - setting high standards:
The totally programmable alphaJET evo for non-contact coding onto most substrates benefits from interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, and RS232. This allows smooth integration into new or existing production processes. The solvent recovery unit is standard on the economical alphaJET evo.
The alphaJET evo’s unique ability to print truetype fonts without loss of speed is of huge importance to its users.

NEW: Latest laser coding systems from KBA-Metronic
The economic and compact laser system iCON i-1010 is ideal for small character coding applications for packaging, packed and industrial goods and offers users a real alternative to traditional coding methods.

NEW: “State of the art” with laser markable labels
Precisely in tune with each other, the labeller H400 from HERMA and the CO2 laser K-1000 from KBA-Metronic perform at speed, consistent reliability and yet economically. Print areas of up to 250x250mm are ideal for applying labels to cartons, outer cases and pallets.

NEW: The thermal transfer printer ttPRINT is a flexible all-rounder
The ttPRINT is a continuous and intermittent direct print module, for integration into packaging machinery. The efficient ttPRINT Multiline is most suited to complex print message applications or indeed the printing of several smaller messages within multi-web packing machines. Three standard print head widths (53, 107 and 128 mm, and a control unit (IP65-rated) meet individual requirements.

NEW: Fast Hot Foil: hpdSYSTEM vario and nano
The user-friendly hotstamping units vario and nano boasting speeds of up to 1,000 impressions/min. The new hpdSYSTEM range also proudly launches the smallest hot foil unit available on the market today.

NEW: The feeding system udaFORMAXX for maximum independence
The udaFORMAXX for offline coding of sleeves, watch strap bands, cartons and flat packaging materials of to 450 mm x 500 mm. outside the production line. The udaFORMAXX can form the basis of a modular offline coding system when integrated with most marking and coding technologies e.g. ink jet, laser, etc. and vision systems, achieving a stand-alone-solution that prints at speeds of up to 90 m/min.
