Ketterer has developed a universally deployable drive unit with a telescopic spindle, especially for the sort of application areas mentioned above. Thanks to the unique design with a stable carrier tube, the unit can be installed without any additional construction measures being necessary. With a spindle pitch of 10mm the design is optimised for maximum travel at maximum power and in the smallest space. The telescopic spindle is designed such that initially only the inner spindle is deployed until it reaches its end stop. After this, it acts as the guide for the outer, large spindle to start its travel. This gives a combination of maximum travel with minimum space requirements. A position measuring system included as standard in the drive motor completes the unit in terms of its modularity.
