M5 Piezoresistive High-Temperature Sensor Type 4007B…
The M5 piezoresistive pressure sensor, Type 4007B..., is designed for measuring absolute pressures in engines at operating temperatures from –40 to 200 °C. As a direct chip exposure (DCE) sensor with no protective steel diaphragm it is directly exposed to the medium. The piezoresistive silicon measuring element is positioned behind a shield and protected by a coating. A special coating makes the sensor resistant to typical fuels and lubricating oils. Its compactness allows a high degree of mounting flexibility that always facilitates ideal positioning for measurements in the inlet passages.
In addition to its small size this design offers excellent linearity, low hysteresis and a high natural frequency. The optional digital temperature compensation system can be used to further reduce the effect of temperature on pressure measurement.
This sensor is ideal for high-precision intake measurements in engines and for measurements in hydraulic, lubrication and fuel systems. Pressure ranges 0 ... 5 bar (Type 4007BA5) and 0 ... 20 bar (Type 4007BA20) are available.
