Press release from KNF NEUBERGER - 2008-01-31

New space-saving micro pump with extremely low power

Common requirements for small diaphragm pumps manufacturers used in analytics, medicine, and industrial applications include high pneumatic performance, compact dimensions, and low noise. However, low power consumption is equally important in many situations.

KNF Neuberger has introduced a new micro industrial diaphragm pump, model NMS 020 L, that fully meets all of these requirements.

The new pump is very small and, thanks to an oval-diaphragm pumping element, only 17 mm wide. It weighs just 32 grams including frequency converter motor. Despite its small size, the pump transfers 1.8 standard liters per minute and achieves ultimate vacuum of 500 mbar absolute as well as overpressure of 500 mbar.

Since the pump’s housing is completely enclosed, it generates very little noise when running. The drive motor sets new stan-dards for low power consumption. Like all diaphragm pumps from this manufacturer, the new product is oil-free in operation and transfers the media without contamination. Through KNF's careful selection of materials for components contacting the media, this pump is also suitable for transferring corrosive or aggressive media.

New pump model NMS 020 L is only the latest addition to KNF’s extensive line of micro diaphragm pumps. In addition to pumps for gaseous media, its product line also contains pumps for liquids.
