Larox Flowsys. Peristaltic pump supplier LPP-T40, manufactured and delivered by the Finnish company Larox Flowsys, has been running without any problems already 18 months at Nykøbing waste water plant in Denmark. ”The Larox pump is perfect solution for the outlet from the de-watering unit as it ensures production at full speed” says the plant manager. The pump has not required any service since it was installed.

Nykøbing waste water plant obtained LPP-T40 pump to replace a mono pump, which was often broke; it was both difficult and expensive to repair. Larox pump’s benefits - unique rolling design and the construction in which only the hose is in contact with the medium - could not only eliminate friction but also maximize hose life time. Larox pumps are also self-priming and have dry run capability.

In the application, slurry with 4 % solids is pumped from de-watering unit to a storage tank, 11 meters up and 50 meters horizontally through a DN100 mm pipe. The LPP-T40 pumps work in batches, 600 - 900 minutes each, totalling 1000 hours a year. The pump is frequency controlled and mounted with a hose leak detector switch.
