HIGH-SPEED LOADING WITH LAWECO.

How can awkward manoeuvring during loading be avoided and the process speeded up? For Erfal Erler, Laweco developed a customised solution based on a large surface lifting system.

Trucks, lorries and transporters can securely dock onto any desired point over a width of 10 m. A large number of multi-function trolleys can be raised to the truck/lorry level, assigned to the individual vehicles and loaded. It was exactly this speed and flexibility that Erfal Erler e. K., a leading manufacturer of curtain rods, products for internal sun protection and protection systems against insects, were focussing on when passing their challenging order to the lifting system specialists from Espelkamp. The system has a total surface of 10.14 m x 6.14 m and a lifting height of 1.6 m, paired with a load bearing capacity of 10 tons. This unusual format was realised by means of two platforms, which were assembled on site to form one complete system. To prevent a deflection exceeding 3 cm during off-centre loading, so-called “stabilisor scissors” were fitted beneath the platform. Equipped with all stability and safety features typical for Laweco, the system meets EN 1570 and can support trucks/lorries rolling over it without problem when in its retracted position.
