One of the most frequently applied technologies utilizes
hot air, be it with welding machines or hand tools. As
an equipment developer and manufacturer, Leister
Technologies AG is a market leader here. Hot air or
wedge welders are used for larger welding sections,
while hand tools with different nozzles are the ideal
choice for short distances and complex details. Next to
manual welding equipment, the most important working
tool is the pressure roller. While the user guides the
welding tool with one hand, he holds the pressure roller
with the other hand and presses the overlap weld seam
together with consistent rolling. Depending on the
material properties of the single ply, he needs to apply
more or less pressure for this. The pressure roller is
therefore an important accessory that, used with
sensitivity and experience, achieves the desired result.
