Lenord + Bauer has developed a compact electronic distance professional recorder to monitor the mileage of wagons or wheelsets. It can be mounted inconspicuously on the wheelset cover and is programmed with wheelset characteristics.

The recorder is energy self-sufficient (no battery required) and is also approved for use in areas subject to explosion hazards. This makes it suitable for mounting on tank wagons that are loaded and unloaded at refineries.

RFID technology is used to read the measured data quickly and securely with a wireless mobile reader. The data can then be easily processed using a PC. Important data can be added to the fleet management system by transferring data to external systems, such as ERP systems or databases.
