The AT-VQ(ZN)H(ZN)2YW2Y 2K200/230 is the first splitable cable for exterior use with highly effective protection against rodents. The metal reinforcement made of corrugated steel tape is quite common on glass optical fibers, but it has never before been used on POF and PCF professional cables. The cable can be laid directly in the ground and is absolutely waterproof, both longitudinally and laterally. The cable can be subjected to permanent lateral pressure of 1000 N/dm. As the cable core is not a filled core bundle but consists rather of stranded single cores, connectors specifications of a wide variety of different designs can be fitted directly to the 2.2 mm PCF core.
