Lessmann brushes for deburring and cleaning sawing blades

Lessmann is a German manufacturer of technical brushes and sells to different industries and trading companies. Next to common applications like deburring, cleaning or structuring of work pieces or surfaces in various materials, Lessmann brushes are also used for special applications in connection with band or circular saws:

Brushes as a component of band saws

As a component of band saws wheel brushes are used. Above all they are utilised for cleaning the chipping space of the machine. A wheel brush with a diameter about 80 – 100 mm is pressed against the saw blade (band or circular saw). Due to the movement of the saw blade the brush is actuated, rolls up and presses into the cogging. This process cleans the saw blades and makes them free of chipping.
Generally wheel brushes with steel wire, cord wire or nylon as filling material are used.

Use of brushes for manufacturing saw blades

While manufacturing or regrinding saw blades, deburring edges occur at the saw tooth. Those are treated effectively with wheel brushes with abrasive nylon, steel wire, stainless steel wire or mixed filament.
The burr which is caused by the grinding process is removed till a rectangular and sharp edge results.

For more than 60 years Lessmann has been a manufacturer of technical brushes and exported worldwide. Due to its engineering department products are upgraded and advanced constantly and new products adapted to the customers’ needs are planned and tested. Permanent quality checks guarantee products of top quality which have a long durability and which bring an eminent brushing result.
