Lika Electronic, leading manufacturer of rotary and linear transducers presents the first linear measurement system with BiSS interface and sine/cosine output.
The complete unit is made of an absolute magnetic detector SMA1 and a coded magnetic scale MTA1. Resolution can be programmed down to 5µm on a measuring length of 5.1 meters.
The system electronics are completely integrated in the sensor head including the BiSS interface for absolute position output and 1Vpp sine/cosine signals.
The high transmission rate of BiSS and the 1Vpp signals enable the SMA1 to be the ideal product for feedback applications on linear motors and linear axes.

Through BiSS the user may easily set absolute resolution, counting direction and datum the unit.
Full diagnostics are available by means of a LED on the sensing head and through the interface.

Moreover, the robust IP67 rated system housing allows the sensor to work in harsh environments, protected against spray and washdown as well as dust and debris.
