These are all features of Lovejoy’s wide variety of superior disc couplings.
Whether your project requires connecting a small servo motor to a ball screw, or a thousand horsepower motor to a large blower, there is likely a disc coupling that will fit into your application needs. It is common knowledge that the primary functions of a coupling is to transmit torque, accommodate misalignment, and extend the life of the equipment where used. Disc couplings do all of these functions extremely well. The central component to Lovejoy disc couplings is the unitized disc pack. The multi leaf design flexes to accommodate misalignment, yet retains the strength necessary to transmit torque from one component to the next.
Lovejoy introduced its disc coupling back in year 2000 and this product line has since grown into the wide variety of disc couplings available today. These couplings range from the single SU style single disc design, used where only axial or angular misalignment is encountered, to the multiple variations of the dual disc pack design with two flex planes which adds the ability to accommodate parallel misalignment.
Whether your application calls for a close coupled design, or you need to span several feet - - whether the design calls for five inch pounds of torque or two million inch pounds of torque - - Lovejoy has a disc coupling that can meet your design needs.
