Due to overloads and conformity to safety rules, traditional industrial plugs and sockets are not suited for motor manufacturer of power supply. Therefore motors are usually hard-wired. It is difficult to disconnect and a qualified electrician is required inducing productivity and time loss.

Marechal Electric DB decontactors are tailor-made for supplying motors up to 125 A / 45 kW without any electrocution hazard. Thanks to its load break capability for utilisation categories AC-3 of EN 60947-3, its mechanical display and its visible isolation, a fitter can be allowed to connect and disconnect a motor safely.
Its metal casing resists corrosion, shocks (IK09), high temperatures: -40 °C to +60 °C and vibrations. Auxiliary contacts can be fitted in to control the process, so that no additional connector supplier is needed.
The DB is a plug and a socket and a motor switch disconnector with visible isolation. Combining these functions into the same unit ensures users safety, simplifies maintenance, reduces downtime and installation costs.
