Mega ohm meter, a world leader in the development and manufacture of testing equipment for power applications, is making its renowned expertise in industrial circuit breaker testing available to all those attending Finepoint’s 15th Annual Circuit Breaker Test and Maintenance Training Conference, which is being held in Pittsburgh, PA from October 6 to October 10, 2008.

Megger’s contribution to the conference takes the form of a one-day seminar to be held on October 6 at the Omni Hotel, where all of the other major conference events are taking place. The seminar, which is free and includes lunch, will focus on best practice in circuit breaker testing, with particular reference to Megger’s new Programma range of test sets.

To ensure that all those attending the seminar derive the maximum benefit from it, Megger is following the opening group session with three further sessions each of which has three options. Delegates can choose to attend any combination of options from the three sessions and, therefore, have a choice of nine different programs that they can follow. This allows them to match the program to their own particular needs.

Among the topics covered are circuit breaker testing in high voltage substations, ground testing in complex environments, measurement methods and interpretation of results, best practice on power transformer condition evaluation, and CABA for reporting and data management.
