METSO GOES MOBILE WITH NEW TRACKED MOBILE SCREENS Metso's Mining and Construction Technology
Metso’s Mining and Construction Technology was the first company in the world to start the serial production of mobile plants in 1985. Since then, over 5,000 Lokotracks have been built and delivered to customers worldwide. In fact, Lokotrack has become a general name for all tracked plants.
New Lokotrack ST3.8 and ST4.8 mobile screens
Using the new model marking, the first digit always refers to the number of end products produced, and the second digit to the upper screen area in square meters.
The first two models in the new series provide the ideal solution for applications requiring compact dimensions and transportability together with high production capacity and a large screen area for fine screening.
The standard ST3.8 2-deck Lokotrack is capable of producing two sized fractions and, depending on the application, an optional two-deck vibrating grid can be installed to yield three sized fractions. Lokotrack ST4.8 is a 3-deck version of the same concept capable of producing four end products, three sized and one dependent on throughput from the reject grid.
Constant performance guaranteed
Lokotrack ST3.8 and ST4.8 are both equipped with an aggressive 5480 x 1520 mm (18’ x 5’) screen box which gives an effective one deck screening area of 7.9 m2 (85 ft2). A new CAT4.4 diesel engine together with an efficient hydraulic system enables trouble-free operation also in demanding applications and extreme climate conditions. Compact dimensions and low transport weight add value through lower transport costs.
Higher profitability is reached since the units can operate continuously, as stoppages are avoided by advanced process control. Constant process monitoring keeps the material flow at an optimal level, which is the foundation for producing high quality aggregates.
Intelligent diagnostic features ease and speed up the maintenance work, and fast troubleshooting cuts costs and enables your plant to achieve the highest availability and profitability. Operating parameters can be stored in the control system for each crushing and screening site, and the correct parameters can be recovered in seconds after arriving at the job site. This ensures that your processes always achieve the best performance.
The working safety of your valuable staff is ensured by the built-in safety of all the components and structural solutions and the advanced control system, which is based on low voltage components.
