PRECISION GEARING ALTERNATIVES FOR MOTION CONTROL SOLUTIONS

New Catalog M-210 from Mijno presents three categories of Gear Drive Solutions for Motion Control applications: (1) Complete precision gearboxes -- Standard or Custom; (2) Precision Racks and Pinions -- Standard or Custom; (3) Made to order precision components with gear features.

The gearbox section features four families of general-purpose gearboxes. Standard gearing types are Low-Backlash planetary and high efficiency, Right-Angle Bevel gear type. Each gearbox family is available in a variety of sizes and ratios and readily mounts to all popular servomotors. Standard gearbox output torque ratings are up to 12,100 Nm (8,925 Ft-lbs). Mijno can readily adapt a standard or design/manufacture single purpose gearboxes in small to medium quantities.

The Precision Racks and pinions section is all new. Precision rack (linear gearing) is useful in linear motion control applications for measurement or transmitting heavy loads. Five grades of rack are offered, varying in precision, tooth size /strength, and durability. Highest precision is achieved with ground teeth (AGMA 12/ISO 5). The presentation enables prospects to easily define their needs to derive a catalog specification.

The third M-210 section illustrates Mijno’s capabilities for singular components with gear features. Internal gears and splines are included. The company is very adept at working with uncommon metals and providing a variety of surface treatments that increase tooth strength and durability.
