MELFA WORKS from Mitsubishi Electric - 3D robot simulation in SolidWorks

Mitsubishi Electric’s industrial industrial robots can now be simulated within the familiar user interface of the SolidWorks 3D Cad software manufacturer package. The new MELFA WORKS program features functions like real-time simulation and automatic path generation to make planning robot applications more secure and flexible.
MELFA WORKS from Mitsubishi Electric is an add-on for the SolidWorks 3D CAD software package. All the new program’s functions are available automatically as soon as SolidWorks is started. The robots to be used in the planned system and the simulation are available directly in SolidWorks, where they can be animated and operated in 3D. MELFA WORKS makes it easy to select the best robots for the task and enables users to develop and test their robot programs offline, before actually trying them out in the real-life application.
The program features automatic position generation function that can directly use the contours of workpieces and components generated by the CAD system, eliminating the need for time-consuming robot teaching. In addition, MELFA WORKS can also precisely calculate the necessary work cycle times. All robot programs can be simulated and tested in real-time conditions, without a separate robot driver.
MELFA WORKS is available for all robots of the RV-S series (articulated arm and SCARA models) and for the precision robots of the RP series. All that is required is a workstation with SolidWorks installed.
