The new 1 kW fiber laser welder ML-6810 from Miyachi offers excellent beam quality and maximum power for new and precise welding applications like steel sheet and copper. A 50 micron fiber realises long focal lengths and small spot sizes. The minimised power consumption saves energy cost. Miyachi’s new YAG laser welder ML-8150A allows the flexible use of small fibers and offers a considerable change in the critical resonator design. Application samples using CuSn6 show penetrations of up to 1.26mm deep in non-coated sheets.
