The unique compacting mechanism produces a solid fused weld joint with single or multiple parts on applications such as automotive wire professional harness subassemblies and appliance harnesses. Stranded wires can also be fused prior to welding to other components.

The fully integrated, enclosed package includes either an AC or an inverter welder for closed-loop feedback control, and a built-in transformer. Water-cooled tungsten electrodes produce the weld heat and ceramic tooling inserts compact the flow of metal from the sides resulting in a neat, compact joint.
