At Motek 2008 in Stuttgart, the visitors of Montech’s stand 1174 in Hall 1 will discover the great flexibility offered by the new units of the Montrac system and the electrified automation components.
For the Montrac system, Montech has developed a new shuttle with RFID technology and two new components, FlexTrac and TouchPanel. Using FlexTrac, Montrac can overcome possible height differences between machines and working stations. Touch-Panel is an independent direct addressing station that allows to implement manual working stations. Through a simple and intuitive touch monitor, the operator can indicate the subsequent station to be reached by the shuttle.
With RFID technology, the route is determined by the conveyed product rather than the shuttle, as it happened so far. The product lying on the shuttle is provided with a transponder that contains information about the product’s route along the track, while the RFID reading/writing unit is integrated in the shuttle.
Users can achieve high flexibility with the electrified automation components: gripping systems, rotary drives, universal compact professional slides and Servoline. In electric grippers, the gripping strength and speed can be adjusted independently. The control system allows to set and store different adjustments flexibly.
The electrically operated rotary drive DAE-60 can move into different positions (up to 31 programmable positions), traveling at different speeds between one position and another. The rotation angle varies from 0° to 360°.
