This summer Newave, one of the leading providers of uninterruptible power supplies, introduced a new three-phase, modular, slide-in USP DPA UPScale RI for the power range from 10 to 40 kW. The most distinctive feature of the DPA UPScale RI is its 19" construction, which means that it can be used with any rack. Its architecture makes the DPA UPScale particularly suitable for use in special environments such as the industrial sector.
The rack-independent DPA UPScale RI is the most flexible UPS system on the market. It offers ideal technical and economic prerequisites for meeting individual requirements in the context of uninterruptible power supply in 19" technology. The UPS device can be integrated in any 19" rack, regardless of manufacturer. The rack-independent UPS system has a depth of 740 mm and is suitable for integration into server racks or industrial racks. Depending on the equipment, a mixed population (e.g. mixed assembly with machine control components) in the same rack is supported.
The versatile design of the DPA UPScale RI considerably reduces the amount of adaptation required for individual solutions in a wide range of sectors. The complete, rack-independent system is therefore particularly useful in the development and integration of differentiated solutions for plant manufacturers and system integrators. Possible areas of use include packaging technology, filling and production lines as well as robots, wind turbines, process control and the medical sector.
Highly configurable
DPA UPScale is available in four variants, with individual modules available in the output levels 10 and 20 kW. A maximum of two of these modules can be used per UPS system, with the most powerful model therefore offering 40 kW with two 20 kW modules and four battery series. Two modules can be connected in parallel, either to increase power or for n+1 redundancy. The subsequent fitting of a second module in order to increase power is also possible.
Ease of use
The UPS system is designed in such a way that modules can be added or replaced while operation is under way, without having to switch the UPS to bypass mode. Thanks to their highly compact construction and low weight (10 kW = 18.6 kg; 20 kW = 21.5 kg), modules can be exchanged by a single individual.
