Expansion of the brushless DC motors range of Oriental Motor to 400 W

With BLV, Oriental Motor now presents a new motor for a power range from 200 to 400 W. This motor thus covers additional applications for 24 or 48 VDC power supplies.

The speed range of the new series extends from 80 to 4,000 min-1. The speed ratio is 1:50. This makes applications possible that require a broad range of regulated speeds. 104 mm frame sizes mean a compact motor for this power range, which can also be used for vertical movements due to the optionally available electromagnetic brake.
In combination with the hollow shaft flat gear system, the BLV represents a particularly space-saving solution. Alternatively, the proven spur gear system is also available for this series.

The BLV is controlled either with an I/O module or a RS-485 interface. With the I/O module from the accessories programme of Oriental Motor, movement parameters such as the rotational direction can be programmed directly and uncomplicatedly. Control with the RS-485 interfaces is suitable for more complex processes. In this case, a programmable output stage 31 connects individual motors and also synchronises polyaxial movements.

The parameters stored through this interface include the speed and the acceleration of the motor, loads and alarm functions in the case of overload.
