260 Osborn products now TÜV SÜD certified Osborn International
In an industry first, Osborn is quoting a figure for surface area or metre performance of selected brushes, instead of the service life figure that usually describes the life of a product.
Osborn is a technological leader and one of the largest global manufacturers of technical brushes and surface tools. The company sets exceptionally high quality standards. The material and finishing quality of Osborn products are strictly monitored at ist in-house research and development centres and certified through inspection by independent institutions. The company is also certified as meeting DIN EN ISO 9001 2008 and manufactures in accordance with European Community standards EN 1083-1 and EN 1083-2.
The company has had 260 products from ist product range tested by the TÜV SÜD and received certification for all of them. Osborn is the only manufacturer in the industry which can boast this award, which is of particular importance to the end user. In addition, Osborn will shortly introduce an improved packaging concept for it's brushes. The primary goal is to display the right amount of information relevant to the consumer, in the right place and in simple, easily understandable form. Osborn packaging will display the standard industry figure for the life of a brush in a new way that is easier for the user to follow. Usually the "life" of the product is quoted as ist "useful life", e.g. in minutes or hours. But what user takes the trouble to note how long he has actually been using a brush?
Instead, following extensive tests, Osborn has determined the maximum surface area (in metres or square metres) that a brush can be used before it has to be replaced. This is a value that is easily understandable to both home hobbyists and professionals.
Osborn will launch the new packaging concept, including the new performance figure, for a large number of products in the weeks ahead under the slogan "Only the meter performance matters".
The new packaging concept can be seen for the first time at the Osborn International GmbH booth at the BWS Trade Show in Salzburg from March 23rd to 26th. (Hall 05, Booth 309).
