MatchClamp™ – the inseparable cable entry PFLITSCH
Quick and safe assembly
Decisive benefits of the MatchClamp™ arise out of operational safety and in assembly: Instead of screwing the MatchClamp™ shell is simply pushed over the cable before assembly and positioned with crimping jaws forming a permanent bond with the cable. For this compression procedure, PFLITSCH has developed a mobile electrical tool, which enables assembly in seconds. MatchClamp™ is water resistant with a protection type IP 68 and a high strain relief up to 500 N. The cable entry system is environmentally friendly and satisfies the high requirements of the RoHS directive and requires neither glue nor other chemicals in order to achieve a high density and strain relief. Also in the EMC area, MatchClamp™ displays its advantages: in order to safely lead an EMC cable, the cable sheath is removed during assembly and the braid is laid back over the cable sheath. The assembler then pushes the MatchClamp™ shell as far over until they have contact with the braid. The overhanging braiding may be removed and the shell positioned and finally securely pressed in.
Example rail vehicles: simply safer
Bombardier has been ranking among the providers of high-value rail vehicles for over 90 years. As part of new developments and the exploitation of economisation potential, the option of MatchClamp™as cable entries became apparent. As in relation to density, strain relief and vibration safety, the innovative concept satisfies in rigorous practical tests. Well over 45,000 MatchClamps™ in different variants are in use in Bombardier locomotives and carriages worldwide.
Conclusion: It is proved by several application samples of different branches that MatchClamp™ is convincing the users worldwide due to high safety and a very compact, space-saving cable entry.
