PI and PiezoMotor Uppsala Commonly Use Piezo Technology PiezoMotor Uppsala AB, Sweden, and Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co KG have agreed on a cross licensing of specific patents of each companies patent portfolio. Both parties expect to strengthen their establishment on the market by combining their complementing patents concerning piezo motor concepts. “Together, we certainly cover the most applicable technologies for piezo motors”, Dr. Karl Spanner, the CEO of PI, states and Per Oskar Lithell, the CEO of PiezoMotor Uppsala, adds “the goal is, to bring new piezo motor technologies to market that will change the world of micro motors”.
