With the MDW600, Piovan launches in the market its new range of gravimetric blenders. The new model has a nominal capacity of 600kg/h and can dose up to 8 different components.
The MDW600 is suitable for application in the fields of injection, extrusion and blow-moulding. It can be installed on the feed-throat of the injection moulding machine or extruder manufacturer in single applications, or frame-mounted in centralised solutions.
The distinctive characteristic of the machine is represented by its high performance levels, achieved using specially designed components, so to fulfil the most stringent requirements. The new industrial mixer with round bottom section, equipped with innovative mixing paddles guarantees homogeneous mixing, uniform blend descent and absence of stagnation. It is mounted on a load battery so to ensure constancy of operation and high accuracy of the blend.
The numerous configurations possible, with two up to eight dosing stations, of which six with inclined pneumatic slide gate and two with inclined augers for dosing ratios of less than 0.5%, confer greatest flexibility to the machine. The pneumatic stations were in fact designed to assure maximum dosing accuracy.
In practice, the MDW600 gravimetric blenders can be set up to fit all configuration requirements and all types of materials to be dosed, by simply selecting the exact number and size of dosing lines. Many are the industrial hoppers, of several capacities and typologies, that can equip every single dosing unit.
One more outstanding feature of the MDW600 is its modular design concept, whereby additional dosing stations can be integrated to an initial basic configuration at any time.
Facilitated maintenance and quick cleaning operations for material changes can be performed. All hoppers are equipped with quick industrial drain ports and all machine components are fully accessible.
In line with the Piovan’s range of latest generation products, an innovative control complete with touch-screen operator interface panel and 8.5” colour display makes the MDW600 easy and extremely intuitive to use. All process data of the machine can be saved into a USB memory stick for subsequent analysis and elaboration.
The Ethernet port connecting the MDW600 to other Piovan equipment such as industrial dryers and industrial feeding systems ensures end-to-end interaction across all connected units.
