Linear encoder kit POSIC

POSIC introduces the highly miniaturized inductive linear encoder kit ID1101L. The encoder-head measures only 9.0 x 6.8 mm with a thickness of 0.9 mm and provides A and B outputs in quadrature. The linear scale is 3.7 mm wide and 0.9 mm thick and comes with a length of 200 mm that can be “cut to length”. The encoder is available in resolutions from 0.3 mm down to 0.3 um. The maximum speed depends on the resolution and ranges from 100 mm/s at a resolution of 0.3 um up to 40 m/s at a resolution of 75 um or larger.

The main features of this kit encoder are its extremely small dimensions and its insensitivity to dust, water, oil, grease and even magnetic fields.

Typical applications are in the mechatronics and motion-control domains as speed or position feedback device. Markets served include industrial, robotics, medical, instrumentation, laboratory automation, office equipment.
