Pumpex offer Stainless Steel Impellers Pumpex
Most impellers in Pumpex Drainage Pumps, series P, are made of White Cast Iron,
(EN G-X260Cr27).
The properties of White Cast Iron, with its 55-60 HRC hardness and very good wear resistance, make it a perfect material for most dewatering applications.
There are however some applications, mainly in mining, where water with low pH is affecting the bounding of the Chrome Carbide in the White Cast Iron, making the impeller brittle and easy to crack, while the other materials in the pump remain unaffected.
For these applications Pumpex offers impellers of Stainless Steel, (G-X8CrNiMo27 5 2), as option for some selected models frequently used in mines, quarries and in tunneling works.
PUMPEX was founded in 1968 and is one the world’s leading manufacturers of submersible pumps, and has an installed base of more than 75.000 pumps in over 70 countries. High reliability combined with excellent serviceability results in pumps with unrivalled operating economy.
