Q-DAS Inc. adds Six Sigma champion to strengthen their winning team

Rochester Hills, MI, March 21, 2008: David Stamps has joined Q-DAS, Inc., as Six Sigma Leader and Statistical Engineering Consultant. This appointment helps bolster the outstanding reputation Q-DAS Inc. has as a source for statistical expertise in the marketplace. His main tasks will be to lead the expansion of the training syllabus to incorporate the teaching of Six Sigma tools and techniques for its new Six Sigma focused destra® application.

Biography – David W. Stamps P.E.
Dave has over 35 years of experience in quality engineering, systems acquisition and project management. He holds a Master of Industrial Statistics degree from the University of South Carolina. He is certified as a Red X® Master and holds ASQ certifications as Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Professional belt (CSSBB) and Reliability Engineer (CRE). He is also a registered Professional Engineer.

He recently retired from Robert Bosch. As Principal Engineer in the Statistical Engineering group, he was responsible for the successful implementation of the organization’s statistics-based problem-solving methods. Concurrently, he managed the plant-wide data-collection and SPC system. Prior to this assignment, Dave established and managed the Measurement Systems group to consolidate and standardize gage calibration and professional control operations across the plant’s various product lines. Throughout this time, he professional led the corporate sub-committees tasked with standardization of calibration and statistical procedures for QS-9000 and ISO/TS-16949 across Bosch’s North American facilities. Dave was a significant member of the re-write committee for the AIAG SPC Manual, 2nd Edition, 2005.
