Safety as a focal point: RAFI at SPS/IPC/Drives 2011

Berg/Ravensburg – At this year’s SPS/IPC/Drives exhibition, RAFI, a leading manufacturer of electromechanical components and control systems, will focus on safety. At RAFI’s newly-designed trade fair booth in Hall 8, Stand 102, visitors can find out about products, new developments, and safety sector applications. Among other developments, the RAFI E-Box, a slim housing for emergency stop and other actuators/indicator lights from the RAFIX 22 FS series will be showcased. The E-Box is suitable for 40 mm DIN rails and can be installed in just a few easy steps. At the trade fair, RAFI will introduce a new model for the installation of two actuators instead of one and featuring a ready-to-use M12 connector. The second focal point will be the optimized series of RAFIX 22 FS+ operating devices, which now features SMD-LEDs for an improved illumination of pushbuttons, selection switches, and indicator lights. Thanks to new plastics, the diversity of types could be nearly halved, because it is no longer necessary to differentiate between illuminable and non-illuminable control elements. Various RAFIX 22 FS+ emergency stop and safety applications will also be displayed. A further highlight will be GLASSCAPE, the RAFI technology for capacitive control systems with a glass surface. Here, the focus will be on new applications from various sectors, including control units with a large 19" touch screen.
