Very high capacity 1000 ton load cells for large structure testing
RDP Electronics Ltd have an extensive range of load cells including the Model MPB which can now be provided for loads of up to 1,000 tons These very high capacity load cells have been deployed on oil-rigs and for measurements on high structures and testing of very large structures.
For tension/compression applications the Model 41 is a tough load cell of stainless steel construction and is suited to applications where consistent performance with long lifecycles is also required. Available with versions offering a measurement range from 22N to 2.2MN and best linearity of ± 0.1% F.S., the Model 41 can also be built to order in special versions with different options and ranges to the standard.
Some load cells can be built meet IP 68 classification for use in applications exposed to the weather, or also in materials suited for use in marine environments.
Further information and guidance on specifying high capacity load cells can be obtained from the RDP engineering support team on 01902 457512 or viewed online at http://www.rdpe.com/uk/slc41.htm .
